Interspirituality

An important part of our organisational identity is that, alongside greatly valuing our own tradition and its background, we also have a strong inclination towards interspirituality.

Interspirituality is a term from the academic field of Religious Studies, coined by Catholic monk and Christian(!) sannyasi called brother Wayne Teasdale, that is largely synonymous to the words interreligious and interfaith. With a slight difference, that the word interspiritual not only includes the larger world faiths, but is inclusive of any spiritual organisation, tradition, path or denomination.

“We firmly believe that we have more that we share than what divides us.”

For us, all religions and spiritual paths are siblings in one large family of pathways to transcendence towards and unity with a Higher Reality. A Higher Reality that goes by many names.

By actively seeking interaction, dialogue, co-practice and perhaps even co-creation with leaders and laypeople from other paths towards the Great Majestic Light, we hope to contribute to the deepening of understanding, of respect, of feelings of brotherhood between one another.

For these purposes we are in the process of setting up an organisation called the Divine Prisma Foundation, through which we will be employing various kinds of activities along interspiritual lines. Its website is currently still under construction and is expected to be online winter/spring ’25.
