Our organisation started very small. As an idea to start a study group, to do pioneering inquiry into the relationships between sound, speech and colour and meditation. These relations were hinted at and spoken about in the books of Alice Bailey, but no exercises were given in order to learn about them through direct experience.
For a Yogi like Swami Māntrikadeva — who came from a broad background of creative and artistic interest and activity, but who through his Yogic training had become used to relying on direct experience only, rather than on outer authorities — this felt unacceptable. It triggered an inner calling to search for companions who are at a similar advanced level of meditative practice he had by then achieved, who would be willing to study the subject together as a group.
Ultimately, he only found one such a companion. Acharya Vādāsana, who also teaches in our school. For 1.5 years they regularly met online and explored the subject through various exercises and the insights that arose from them. Out of the idea for this research group were born the idea for a school, a community, an online platform, etc. The knowledge and wisdom gained from it, became the core nuclei of our schools curriculum.
Although activity in the meditation research group is low at the moment, we aim to revive this group in the future. To give advanced students from our community a place where they can work, together with others, at advancing spiritual knowledge as gained through meditative practices.
To work on new practices, new insights, and new perspectives. In order to enrich the palette of what is already here. And to supply the seekers of the world with progressive and well-founded practices for spiritual development. And perhaps even to discover the seeds of completely new approaches to the Eternal Path. Sanātana Dharma. The road to becoming One with the Divine.
When it is time, may it arise again from its hibernation! 🙏
